Training

The Law Centre Training Programme for 2008-2009 will be online soon. 

The training programme outlines all course planned for the year including booking details. Each year a wide range of training courses is offered in areas of social welfare law relevant to Northern Ireland.

Note: Changes may be made to the training programme throughout the year. More detailed information will usually be posted on the site six weeks before the starting date of each course.

General information

Law Centre (NI) training can offer:

n courses for both the inexperienced and experienced adviser;

n courses accredited by Northern Ireland Open college Network and linked with NVQ courses;

n adaptation of courses to suit members needs.

All courses are placed in a structure of Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced.

Venues

Courses are held in both Belfast and Derry. Only venues with suitable facilities are used, and all have disabled access.

Tutors

Most of the courses are delivered by Law Centre staff within their particular field of expertise. This is built upon by outside speakers where appropriate.

Applications

A standard application procedure is used to offer courses to members and interested organisations. Care must be taken when completing applications and particular attention must be paid to closing dates for applications.

Fees

Details of course fees can be found in the Training Programme.  A reduced fee for members applies.
