Membership

You can become affiliated to Law Centre (NI) either as a member (open to independent voluntary organizations) or as an associate member (comprehensive or standard, open to both individuals and groups).

Become a Law Centre (NI) Member

To apply for membership of Law Centre (NI), you can:

  • download and complete the application form then post along with payment; or
  • fill in the online form at the bottom of this page, and we will send you an invoice.

Types of Membership

You can become either a full member (open to independent voluntary organisations which provide impartial and free advice services) or an associate member (comprehensive or standard, open to other organisations or individuals who wish to make use of Law Centre services or keep up to date and support our work).

Full members elect the executive committee who determine Law Centre policy

Full members and comprehensive associate members receive:

  • access to our advice and casework and library services
  • regular casework and policy reports
  • a copy of our training programme and access to training at a reduced fee
  • a copy of our 'encyclopedia of rights' CD-ROM and annual updates
  • a copy of Frontline four times a year
  • an annual report
  • notification of seminars and conferences organised by Law Centre (NI)

Standard associate members receive:

  • access to our advice and casework services
  • a copy of our Encyclopedia of Social Welfare Law CD and annual updates
  • a copy of Frontline four times a year
  • notification of Law Centre seminars and conferences
  • regular casework and policy reports

Rates (per year)

Full member: £65.00

Associate member (comprehensive): Solicitors: £100.00, Others: £65.00

Associate member (standard): normal: £45.00, concession (unwaged, students, pensioners): £9.00

Extra copies of Frontline: £7.50 per annum per copy (in addition to your free copy which is part of the  benefits of membership)

Frontline only (subscription, no membership): £20.00

Practitioner Groups

The Centre convenes quarterly practitioner groups. If you would like to join any, or all, of these groups, please tick relevant boxes. This service is free to all membership.
