A Media Speed Matching event, jointly organised by Law Centre (NI), NICVA and the NUJ, was held at the Law Centre at the end of September.

Aimed at promoting more effective working relationships between the voluntary sector and the media, the event was a great success.  Voluntary and community organisations represented at the event were Cause, Carers (NI), Citizens Advice, Age Sector Platform, Law Centre (NI), Volunteering Development Agency, NICEM, NICVA and Housing Rights Service. They met with people from newspapers, radio, television and public relations, presented their organisation and the issues the want to be taken up in the media, and shared contact details.

This is the second speedmatching event we host, and we hope to be able to hold more in future years.
