This conference will help inform Amnesty’s recommendations to the Northern Ireland Executive for an inquiry for the victims of historical institutional child abuse in Northern Ireland.

The conference will examine how to ensure an inquiry meets the needs of victims/survivors and fulfils international human rights obligations. It will enable victims/survivors, campaigners, commissioners and counsellors to share their experiences from the Republic of Ireland and Scotland, so that lessons may be learned in Northern Ireland.
