This half-day course (3 hours), led by an experienced practitioner from Migration Justice team is a perfect introduction for people who are new to supporting people seeking sanctuary in local communities.
This session will help you understand the relevant terminology, the asylum process, rights and entitlements, myths and facts, the role of different agencies and organisations and how you can help people seeking protection to settle into your community.
Suitable for community groups, charity teams, volunteers, healthcare staff, teachers, companies, council staff and government workers.
