Welcome Information Programme (WIP)

Law Centre NI is delivering a second year of our Welcome Information Programme (WIP), funded by Belfast City Council.

WIP is designed to build on the skills of the community and voluntary sector in Belfast to better support people seeking asylum and refugees in the city.

We offer three strands of FREE practitioner-led training to organisations operating in Belfast, covering the rights and entitlements of asylum seekers and refugees:

Understanding Asylum & Refugee Rights – half day
Delivering Services to Asylum Seekers and Refugees – 2-day
Refugee & Asylum Masterclasses – 1 hour

WIP has also developed the Sanctuary Services Map Belfast, a centralised map of free services in the city available to people seeking sanctuary (asylum seekers, refugees). The map is translatable and links directly to Google Maps.
