Inquiry into cost-of-living support payments

Law Centre NI has witnessed first-hand the lifeline that cost-of-living payments have been to our clients.

We were therefore pleased to respond recently to the Work and Pensions Committee Inquiry into cost-of-living support payments for 2022-23 and 2023-24.  This is a crucial opportunity to help shape future cost-of-living payment schemes, while also ensuring that the rights of the most vulnerable are protected.  This is particularly important following fears that acute budgetary cuts in Northern Ireland will negatively impact social security here.
