New Ukraine Extension Scheme offers three year visa for Ukrainian seasonal workers in Northern Ireland
A new Ukraine Extension Scheme is now available for Ukrainian seasonal workers living in Northern Ireland. The scheme provides a three year visa that allows you to live, work and study in the UK. If you are Ukrainian and are currently living and working in Northern Ireland with a Seasonal Worker visa, this might be a particularly good option.
The new scheme offers many advantages compared to the Seasonal Worker visa. It permits the holder to work without restriction, allows access to social security and provides a route whereby family members can later join the visa holder (through the Homes for Ukraine Scheme).
You can apply if:
• You are Ukrainian; and
• Your Seasonal Worker visa was valid on 18 March 2022; or
• You had a Seasonal Worker visa which expired on or after 1 January 2022.
In addition, you can apply if you are:
• In the UK and you are the immediate family member of a Ukrainian national who is applying to the scheme.
