“Priorities for Action” report launched

The Refugee and Asylum Forum met with Vicky Tennant, UNHCR Representative to the UK, and the Executive Office today to discuss its new Priorities for Action report, a blueprint for refugee integration in Northern Ireland.

The report is the refugee and asylum sector’s vision of the Refugee Integration Strategy, and compiles the input of 50 organisations from across Northern Ireland.

“Priorities for Action” makes clear, practical and achievable recommendations from a wide range of community and voluntary organisations and individuals with their own experience of the immigration system in Northern Ireland and covers areas including integration, housing, employment, health and social care and education.

The Refugee and Asylum Forum looks forward to continuous engagement with the Executive Office on the solutions contained within the paper.
