Development Officer, Mental Health & Learning Disability Alliance/Policy Officer (Mental Health)

24 hours per week, based in Belfast. This is a temporary post for up to 12 months

The Law Centre is seeking candidates to undertake our mental health policy work and to lead the development of the Mental Health & Learning Disability Alliance (convened by the Law Centre) to work collaboratively for the development of progressive mental capacity legislation.

A minimum of two years’ experience of policy work, including lobbying and campaigning, is required.  Experience of writing policy papers, working with the media, knowledge of social justice issues, mental health or learning disability law and policy and the workings of parliamentary bodies is essential.
