Blow to low income families

In an open letter to The Observer on Sunday 9 December, the Law Centre and over 50 other organisations warned that the Chancellor's decision to uprate working age benefits by 1 per cent, announced in last week's Autumn Statement, is 'a bitter blow for hundreds of thousands of low income families' and breaks the longstanding link between benefits and living standards.
