Statement from the Cliff Edge Coalition

The Cliff Edge Coalition have published a statement in response to the NI Executive’s draft Anti-Poverty Strategy 2025-35.

The Coalition raises a number of concerns, and asks the Executive to deliver upon their three key asks, ensuring these are included in the final version of this Strategy:

• Resolve the five-week wait for Universal Credit
• Remove the Two-Child Limit
• Provide support for private renters affected by the Local Housing Allowance

The Coalition warmly welcome engagement with officials, elected representatives and organisations on this matter.
