This 2-day course will help you to understand:
- common immigration concepts such as immigration control, the Common Travel Area, No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF), Section 3C leave
- immigration advice v. immigration support
- asylum support and the destitution test
- permission to work and volunteering for asylum seekers
- travel documents
- resettlement schemes
- settlement and citizenship
- processes and options for migrant survivors of domestic abuse and modern slavery
- and more!
Participants will receive a certificate of completion.

This in-depth in-person course is ideal for staff and volunteers who are familiar with asylum and refugee processes, or have completed our Understanding Asylum & Refugee Rights training and want to know more. FREE for organisations delivering in the Belfast City Council area.
