Statement on Safety of Rwanda Bill

We are severely disappointed that the Government has passed the Safety of Rwanda Bill, disregarding the unanimous judgment of the Supreme Court that the Rwanda scheme was unlawful.

The law exists to protect us all. The UK Government’s abandonment of international and human rights’ conventions is profoundly concerning.

We stand in solidarity with those affected by this cruel action and resolve to uphold the right to claim asylum.
