Managed migration is the process where people getting legacy benefits will have their claims transferred to Universal Credit.

Universal Credit is a new benefit that replaces six means-tested benefits (known as the legacy benefits): Income Support, income-based Jobseekers Allowance, income-related Employment and Support Allowance, Housing Benefit, Child Tax Credit and Working Tax Credit.
