Updated FAQs on employee rights and COVID-19

The Law Centre NI employment hub has now updated the FAQs on employee rights in relation to Coronavirus (COVID-19) as of 8th May 2020. 

The updated document:

  • Reflects the changes and announcements made by the UK government since the furlough scheme was introduced.
  • Provides more clarity on the rights of workers who need to shield or self-isolate.
  • Includes more guidance on workers’ right to sick pay.
  • Gives guidance on the furlough scheme for people on zero-hours or agency contracts.

The newly updated document reflects work being carried out by the Law Centre NI legal and policy team, including analysis of advice line trends and existing case law.
