Introduction to Asylum and Refugee Matters

Course Overview

Two introductory sessions for people who are new to supporting refugees and asylum seekers in Northern Ireland.

These sessions will help you understand the relevant terminology, the asylum process, rights and entitlements, the role of different agencies and organisations and how you can help people seeking protection to settle into your communities.

Asylum matters are covered in Part 1 and Refugee matters in Part 2.

Our sessions are delivered in person by experienced Law Centre staff, and we allow plenty of time for Q&A and discussion.

This course is aimed at community groups, charity teams, volunteers, healthcare staff, teachers, companies, council staff and Government workers.

Duration

  • Each session lasts two hours.

Price

  • £700 for both sessions (up to 15 people)
